Rain soaked for $8 million damages by stiffed promoters for cancelling Hawaii concert. In March 2009 a federal court jury in Honolulu ordered South Korean pop star Rain to pay in excess of $8.5 million (US) for fraud related to cancelling a Hawaii concert in June 2007. The verdict against Rain, whose real name is Ji-Hoon Jung, includes $5 million in punitive damages. The next step for promoter Click Entertainment, will be trying to get the judgment paid.
